Carolee’s Scrapbook Apprentice 6 finalists announced
Published May 31st, 2006 in Life in general, creativity, photography, scrapbook marketing, scrapbooking, scrapbooking craft, submitting layouts and projectsI am so excited to finally be able to announce formally that my cousin Jeff is one of the 6 finalists for Carolee’s Scrapbook Apprentice. You can see the formal announcement here. I am so excited about his appointment as a finalist!
This is really exciting for me because I suggested Jeff apply for this contest besides which he is my favorite cousin. Hmm, can I say that without getting in trouble? Yes, I think I can. I think Jeff is my only blogging cousin!!! By day Jeff is a computer programmer geek (I say that in a loving way as I’m married to a computer programmer geek.) As a hobby Jeff is an incredibly talented photographer who has a talent for capturing architecture, nature and people. He has a website containing his work which contains weddings, family pictures and many photos from Jeff’s travels.
The other thing that is super cool, is that Jeff isn’t a scrapbooker. He’s got creative talent, photography skills and knows his way around Photoshop though. This is proof that an “unknown†in the scrapbooking field can enter a contest and land a position as a finalist or winner. That should give many aspiring scrapbook designers hope and inspiration.
OK, I guess that is enough bragging for one blog entry. I wish all the finalists well in this contest. I know a few of them are Peas (from Two Peas in a Bucket) so I’ll be excited to see how the contest goes! Good luck to all.
